POONCH, June 16: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Poonch, Rahul Yadav declared open the Fitness Camp as chief guest in the presence of guest of honour, SSP Ramesh Kumar Angral and special guests, DySP DAR, Sheezan Bhat at Sports Stadium, here today.
The Coaching and Fitness Camp, an initiative of a group of individuals, involved around 100 young sportspersons from different parts of the district.
Prominent among others present were Harcharn Singh (senior cricketer), Nirdosh Kumar (Manager Sports Stadium), Mohd Qasim (Incharge DYSSO Pooch), Vijay Kumar (PEM), Kewal Krishan (PEM) and Sajjad Rather.
Speaking on the occasion, amidst interaction with the young campers, the DDC and SSP Poonch applauded the efforts of the organisers for this initiative.
While advising the young cricketers to stay away from drugs and other allied evils, DDC stressed upon them to work hard and excel in sports and studies as well.
Both DDC and SSP assured the organisers of all possible help in promoting sports and games in the district by organising bigger events.
