KATHUA, July 10: The District Development Commissioner Raghav Langar today inaugurated district level Summer Camp Exhibition in Boys Hr Sec School, here.
The summer camps began on June 12 throughout the district in Government schools in collaboration with Pratham Education Foundation. Students of private schools also participated in these camps. During these camps students from 1st to 8th classes were imparted education through practical, modals and co- curricular activities besides theoretical knowledge. Later the students exhibited their Models at zonal level and today the selected models were exhibited in Govt Boys Hr Sec School, Kathua.
Among more than 80 models in all 7 subjects, 3 models were selected by the jury for further exhibition at divisional level. Prizes were distributed among the selected students.
The DDC Raghav Langar was chief guest on the occasion while the Chief Education Officer Kathua, Prem Nath presided over the function. The DDC examined each model and interacted with students and encouraged them. He hoped that such practical aptitude will be further developed in students.
The DDC addressed teachers and students present on the occasion and advised them to work with dedication and sincerity for upliftment of the academic standard of schools.
