DDC inspects development works

RAJOURI, Apr 26: District Development Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary Choudhary inspected a number of developmental works at Kalakote and Khwas.
The DDC inspected KGBV Hostel building at Khwas which was left incomplete by a Self-help Group . In a detailed review with CEO and ExEn PWD it was decided to provide additional funds for completion of building through PWD with fast-track construction. He also interacted with students of KGBV. A set of 50 track suits and sports shoes, sports equipment and IT Lab was sanctioned for KGBV.
The DDC also visited Higher Secondary School Khwas and in view of shortage of class rooms it was decided that 3 additional class rooms will be constructed. Meanwhile, he expressed concern about incomplete work of compound wall despite sufficient funds provided to SSA Engineering wing and directed the CEO to conduct enquiry against erring officials. Directions were issued for completion of work in a fortnight.
Exn PMGSY was directed for completion of approaches of Khwas bridge within a month to make it functional. He also inspected bridge being constructed at East Jangrial and directed for completion within 2 months. In view of shortage of staff CMO was directed to deputed one Medical Officer at PHC Khwas. The DDC also reviewed the progress under SBM in various Panchayats of Khwas. DSEO was directed for establishment of new Adhar enrolment centre for left out applicants and new enrolment.
Earlier, Dr Shahid along with SSP Yougal Manhas, ADC Khalid Hussain and other senior officers of various departments held public interaction at Khwas where developmental issues and public demands were discussed.
