DDC inspects ongoing development works in Marwah

Kishtwar, Oct 30: District Development Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana today inspected ongoing works in Marwah area.
Accompanied by SSP Rajinder Kumar Gupta , ADDC Imam Din , SDM Marwah Kesar Bhavani, DSWO Mohsin Raza, the DDC also took stock of problems of the people of the area.
Scores of deputations met DDC and apprised about their problems at Qadarna A, Qadarna B, Pethgam, Yourdoo and Nowapachi.
The DDC Kishtwar inspected the ongoing work of 3.83 km road from Yourdoo to Qadarna being constructed at a cost of Rs 4.07 crore.
It was informed that 80% of work has been completed till date, while work on construction on 56 mtr Qadarna Bridge over Marudsur river is going on war footing. The DDC directed the Contractor to complete the bridge within one month.
Meanwhile, the DDC resolved the long pending bottleneck at Batha hampering construction of PMGSY road from Pathgam to Rennai. The XEN PMGSY was directed to complete the work within one month.
Earlier, the DDC patiently heard the grievances of the public and assured them of speedy redressal.
The public also demanded 03 months advance ration in view of severe drought conditions in the area.
Responding to the demand , SDM Marwah was directed to furnish a detailed report of the losses suffered in production of crops due to drought conditions.
The DDC also inspected the site at Nowpachi where the land measuring 64 kanals has been acquired for the construction of the Degree College.
He also inspected the ongoing work of community health centre at Nowapachi and asked the contractor to complete the work at an earliest.
The public also demanded establishment of stadium on the state land measuring 62 kanals at Pathgam.
The DDC also paid visit to Islamia Academy at Qadarna where the management appealed him to cooperate in their endeavour to uplift the standard of education and health facilitates for the people of Marwah area, including the opening of Gyne Hospital by their charitable institute.
The DDC assured full co-operation and co-ordination under rules.
