BANI (KATHUA), Jan 15: Describing the current political climate in Jammu and Kashmir very conducive for BJP to come to power, Col Mahan Singh (Retd), DDC Chairman Kathua and former BJP President Pahari Zila (Basohli, Billawar, Bani) urged cadres to make special efforts to woo people from all sections of the society, to ensure party’s victory in the coming Panchayat, Assembly and Parliamentary elections.
In this context, Col Mahan Singh alongwith Thakur Dass, senior BJP functionary chaired a series of meetings of BJP Karyakartas at Bani today.
Pertinent to mention that Col Mahan Singh has recently been given responsibility as Prabhari for Bani Assembly constituency by the Party to strengthen the party’s organizational structure in the hilly and remote regions of Bani and Lohai Malhar.
In separate meetings held with constituency level Core Group, Mandal Teams and Shakti Kendras & booth level workers, Col Mahan emphasized on unity and team work amongst party workers. He asked the party workers to launch a mass movement for strengthening the party organization at gross root level in this hill region and discussed various strategies with party workers to prepare for future elections.
During his four-day schedule to Bani Assembly Constituency besides Bani, DDC Chairman will also visit Duggan, Doggain and Machhedi blocks and thoroughly interact with party workers and supporters. He urged party workers to highlight party ideology and achievements of Central & UT Government before the public.
The DDC Chairman observed that the BJP Karyakartas were seen enthusiastic and motivated on the occasion, especially keeping in view the forthcoming elections at Panchayats, Assembly and Lok Sabha levels.
Among others who were present include senior party workers Uttar Chand Goswami, Mansa Ram, Mela Ram, Moti Ram, Reeta Thakur DDC, Neelam Devi BDC Chairperson, Brij Mohan Singh, Dhani Ram, Bhushan Kumar, Sushil Banjalia and Roshan Lal.
