DDC Kishtwar reviews progress of languishing projects

KISHTWAR, Dec 24: District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana convened a meeting with concerned district officers and Executive Engineers to review the progress on languishing projects besides the status of implementation of flagship programmes and two year Vision Document.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Mohd. Iqbal, DFO Kishtwar, Executive Engineer besides concerned officers of line departments.
While reviewing the progress of flagship schemes like Swachh Bharat Mission, Jal Shakti Abhiyan, Ayushman Bharat etc, DDC asked the officers to play a pro-active role and work in a coordinated and vibrant manner so that all the schemes and programmes which are meant for socio-economic development are implemented at ground levels in letter and spirit.
It was informed in the meeting by Joint Director Planning that High Power Committee of Jammu & Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC) has approved and sanctioned 48 numbers of projects under languishing programme in the district worth Rs. 8499.22 lakh and the set the goal to complete all these Languishing Projects by end of December 2020.
DDC also appointed the District Statistics & Evaluation Officer, Kishtwar and Accounts Officer as Inspecting Officers who shall personally inspect all these projects and submit the project wise details to the office of DDC at an earliest possible time.
