DDC member inaugurates medical camp

JAMMU, Oct 12: A medical camp was inaugurated at the Accidental Hospital in Chowki Choura area here today by the District Development Council (DDC) Member and senior BJP leader Pandit Suresh Sharma.
A statement said that a team of doctors from Government Medical College Jammu screened patients from different areas during the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Pandit Suresh Sharma said that medical camp in Chowki Choura was organised as part of a series of medical camps being organised by the Government of India across the country.
He said the second camp in Chowki Choura would be held in November and the third in the month of December, this year.
He stated that the Ayushman Health Scheme of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been benefitting a large section of the society. Sharma asked all the PRIs to create awareness about the benefits of the scheme.
Terming the medical camp organised in Chowki Choura as a success, he said, “this camp has immensely benefitted those people who couldn’t afford to go to Akhnoor or Jammu for advanced treatments.”
SDM Chowki Choura Virender Gupta; Block Medical Officer, Dr Samir Khajuria; BJP Mandal President Captain BD Sharma, Sarpanch Ravi Kumar and a number of panches, attended the camp.
