RAJOURI, Oct 14: Sarpanch Mehari Gujjrain Shazia Tabassum along with DDC member Doongi, Khalid Choudhary on Thursday launched the work on Water Supply Scheme under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) at Thekrian Mohalla in Doongi block.
The DDC member was accompanied by Sarpanch Shazia Tabassum, ward members of the Panchayat and general public of the area.
It was informed that the Water Supply Scheme is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 9 crore and shall cater to the water requirement of Mehari Gujjran Panchayat. The Water Supply Scheme is expected to be completed during the current financial year 2022-23
Shazia Tabassum launched the Jal Jeevan Mission project from village Thekrian. This is the first project of the Panchayat which has been launched in line with Modi Sarkar’s resolution of ‘Har Ghar Ko Jal’.
She called upon the officers to ensure that all the sanctioned projects are started timely thereby facilitating provision of tap water to each house and habitation. The inaugurated projects will help in enhancing the quality of rural life of these villages
While launching Jal Jeevan Mission, Shazia Tabassum, assured the people that after the completion of the project worth Rs 9 crore, every household in the vicinity will get clean tap water and the problem concerning the dearth of potable water will be fully eliminated. During her tour, Shazia also listened to the public grievances. She also instructed the accompanying officers to work for the upliftment of rural areas and push themselves for the timely completion of various ongoing developmental projects.
