JAMMU, Jan 19: BJP leader and DDC Member, Pt. Suresh Sharma kick started the work of widening of the road connecting village Sagani to Sunail in Akhnoor with an estimated cost of Rs 2 crore 97 lakhs, sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in Akhnoor, here today.
The widening of this road will reduce the problem of traffic jams in Akhnoor town as the road will directly connect the new bridge constructed recently in Akhnoor.
Addressing the public, Suresh Sharma said that it is the top most priority of our Government to connect each village with towns and cities and we will work hard for it. “Many welfare schemes are currently being run across the country by the BJP Government and people should take benefit of them,” he asserted.
On this occasion, BDC Maira Mandrain Sushma Sharma, AE PMGSY Manish Kumar, Mandal president Dr Ram lal Sharma, Sarpanch Parshant Sharma, Sarpanch Tarlochan Dutt, general secretary, Chanchal Singh Naib Sarpanch, Joginder Kumar and many others were present on this occasion.
