RAJOURI, Nov 21: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today reviewed the progress made under Prime Minister’s Awas Yojana for Urban and Grameen areas at two separate meetings of the concerned officers.
The DDC sought a detailed report from the concerned Block Development Officers about the progress achieved under the scheme in their respective blocks who in turn briefed about the same.
The meeting was apprised that against the target of constructing 30601 houses, as many as 19594 houses have been completed till date and effective measures are in place to achieve the set targets within the shortest possible time. The DDC also reviewed the status of installments credited into the accounts of beneficiaries.
Taking stock of the progress under PMAY-U in the district, the meeting was briefed that the work on 637 houses is complete in all respects.
The DDC asked the concerned officers to work in a mission mode for the successful implementation of the scheme and ensure that the benefit of the same reach to the last eligible person.
He further asked the officers to ensure the completion of set targets within the stipulated timeline.
The DDC said that PMAY is a flagship housing scheme of the Government and the concerned Departments have to play a proactive role in ensuring that the beneficiaries complete constructions in a time bound manner.
