DDC reviews arrangements for Ex-Servicemen-cum-Fauji Mela

DODA, June 3: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Mubarak Singh today chaired a meeting of officers to review the necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of Ex-Servicemen -cum-Fauji Mela at Bhaderwah scheduled on June 5, 2014.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Imam Din, Sub Divisional Magistrate Bhaderwah Bhupinder Kumar, Tehsildar Bhaderwah Tariq Aziz besides Major Tiwari representative of 4RR and other officers also attended the meeting.
Major Tiwari, who is coordinating the event, informed the DDC about various arrangements made for the successful conduct of this mega event. He said security and management of traffic will be main concern and the matter has already been taken up and necessary arrangements are in place.
It was informed that the traffic will be diverted to Bhaderwah via Udrana-Gatha route and the route along the venue of the event will remain off the traffic on that day.
The DDC directed the officers of traffic/police authorities to coordinate with the army.
PHE Department was instructed to ensure the supply of safe drinking water at the venue while Health Department was instructed to depute a team of doctors and para-medical staff at the venue.
The DDC also impressed upon all the officers/officials of various departments to coordinate with various stakeholders to make this event a success.
Later, the DDC also inspected ongoing developmental works in Bhaderwah and instructed executing agencies to expedite the pace of work and ensure that deadlines are met.
