SAMBA, May 2: To discuss Kathar- Rajool Watershed project, District Development Commissioner, Samba R.K Varma today convened a meeting of district and sectoral officers.
The capacity buliding project has been funded by NABARD and executed by Kristu Jyoti Social Welfare Society.
The DDC impressed upon the officers to personally visit the area and make comprehensive plan for the development of the area by converging various developmental schemes and appointed District Panchayat Officer Samba, Sonu Pargal as a Nodal Officer for this work.
The work done by the NGO Kristu Jyoti Social Welfare Society in the shape of constructing Check Dams was appreciated during the meeting.
Among others the meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer Samba, Assistant Commissioner Development, District Panchayat Officer Samba, Chief Horticulture Officer, District Sheep Husbandry officer and Representatives of NGO Kristu Jyoti Social Welfare Society.
