JAMMU, Mar 9: District Development Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar today convened a meeting to take stock of various ongoing development works in the district.
While reviewing progress achieved under implementation of digitization of land revenue records, DDC stressed upon the concerned officers to work with utmost zeal and dedication for the timely completion of the same.
Other important revenue matters including the writing of Jamabandies, necessary scanning of records and quality checking were also discussed in detail in the meeting.
Kumar also called upon the officers to accelerate the pace of digitization towards realizing the objectives of modernizing the management of land records.
DDC also passed necessary directions for prioritizing the work of Jamabandi strictly in conformity with the standing instructions and stressed that updation of Jamabandis are the prerequisite for the implementation of the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme.
Earlier, DDC also reviewed the progress of Jammu Ring Road Project with concerned officers and discussed various measures to remove existing bottlenecks facing the project.
The matters pertaining to land acquisition, timely disbursement of payment, shifting of utilities, tree cuttings and other issues were discussed in detail.
DDC also reviewed the implementation and progress made under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme (PMKSNS).
Later, DDC also inquired about the basic facilities available to the residents of border areas including the water facilities and preparedness of the district administration about any future exigencies.
