REASI, Feb 9: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi Sushma Chauhan today reviewed relief and reconstruction work being undertaken for the flood affected people of Reasi district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi Shiv Kumar Gupta, Chief Planning Officer H L Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reasi, Sub Divisional Magistrates, Executive Engineers of Power Development Department, Public Heath Engineering, Public Works Department, Tehsildars, Naib-Tehsildars, Girdawars and Patwaris attended the meeting.
Officers of the departments briefed DDC on the latest status of post flood reconstruction work and relief disbursement in the district. It was informed that 1645 houses were fully damaged during the floods and relief has been paid to all whose houses were fully damaged. Also 18 temporary shelters sheds to flood-affected families of Seri and Mansoo villages were given and 401 families are being provided with rent per month.
DDC exhorted upon the officers to work in close coordination and synergy to ensure timely completion of ongoing rehabilitation works for providing succor to the flood affected families. She said that the Reasi district administration was committed to ensure proper rehabilitation of the flood-affected families in the district as per the Government’s relief and rehabilitation policy.
She also directed all officials to bring efficiency and transparency in their working so as to improve the service delivery mechanism.
