SAMBA, May 9: District Development Commissioner Samba, Rajinder Singh Tara today convened a public meeting at Rakh Kangwala.
DDC distributed compensation of Rs 1.75 cr to the refugees of 1965/71 of Chamb under PMDP. Many cases under PMDP were settled on the spot. He further issued directions to the departments to provide basic facilities to the people. He also discussed various developmental needs of the area.
People from villages of Suchetgarh, Ramnagar, Khanwal, Raiyan, Pangdhore, Glaudh, Avtalkatla were also present in the camp.
Citizens of these areas also projected their demands before DDC.
ACR Samba Waseem Raja,Tehsildar Samba,Tehsildar HQ, officers from various departments and prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
