SAMBA, Aug 21: District Development Commissioner, Sushma Chauhan today chaired a meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) for the quarter ended June 2018 to review the performance of banks in respect of achievements under Annual Credit Plan 2018-19 besides taking stock of position of Deposits, Advances and CD Ratio.
The DDC entrusted upon the concerned functionaries to increase the CD ratio by developing better coordination and cooperation between major banks and Government departments.
She further asked the Chief Agriculture Officer for ensuring 100% coverage of KCC in co-ordinations with bankers.
The DDC stressed on the need of holding Financial Literacy Camps in collaboration with banks and Government departments under intimation to chairperson on regular basis and further asked the banks to utilize these camps for creating awareness among the people about the financial literacy, PMEGP, Housing for All, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna, 100% coverage under KCCs, Prime Minister’s New Social Security Schemes, Pardhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and other such schemes.
The DDC asked the officials to draft an inclusive strategy to support and motivate the new entrepreneurs and guide them towards a financial viable business opportunities.
“Efforts need to be made to boost the small scale industries in the district”, she added.
The meeting also had a detailed review of all the Government sponsored schemes with special focus on PMEGP Schemes.
The DDC further stressed on evaluation of banks on scoring model.
She advised the sponsoring agencies to educate educated, motivated and facilitated more people to undertake self employment activities.
Lead Bank Manager,Satish Sharma informed the meeting that the CD ratio of Samba District is 48% and priority sector advances is 55.74% of total advances of Samba District as on June 30,2018.
The other officers who attended the meeting were CPO, LDO RBI, DDM NABARD, Cluster head, District Coordinators of JK Bank, PNB, JKGB, EDB and representatives other Banks and concerned officers from various government departments.
