SAMBA, Oct 3: In order to aware the general masses about the effective ways of prevention and control of dengue in the district, series of meetings were conducted under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, R K Varma at Samba, Vijaypur and Purmandal Blocks with the involvement of Sarpanchs, officers of Medical Department, Social Welfare Department and Rural Development Department.
Addressing the meeting, DDC impressed upon the officers to inform PRI functionaries of every programme of dengue control viz. fogging, spraying or any awareness programme initiated by either Medical Department or Municipal Committees as they are very much aware of their areas and are very much close to the minds and hearts of the people which ultimately helps in implementing the programme successfully and effectively.
He also stressed for coordinated efforts on the part of all organizations like education, local bodies, social welfare, and health departments for realization of common goal of dengue free samba.
DDC also briefed about the precautionary measures in relation to the dengue and asked PRI functionaries to aware the masses.
Among others ACR Samba, ACD Samba, officers from Medical Department, CDPOs and Executive Officers of Municipal Committees attended the meetings.
