KISHTWAR, Dec 20: To redress the issues of people at their doorsteps, District Development Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana today convened a public grievances redressal camp here at village Sounder, Dachhan.
ACD Anil Kumar Chandail, SDM Marwah Kaiser Bhawani, CPO Dr. Yasir L.A Balwan, district officers besides locals and newly elected PRIs attended the camp.
The demands presented by the public included recruitment of unemployed youth of families displaced by Pakal Dool Power Project, electrification of left out villages of Dachhan, providing of free fire wood during winters, provision of seeds by Agriculture Department, posting of adequate staff in PHC Dachhan, repair and renovation of Hori Bridge and construction of Suid Bridge, issuance of PRC certificates in respect of tehsil Dachan from District headquarter instead of Tehsil Marwah thereby changing jurisdiction, drinking water facility, ensuring full functioning of Government offices in Dachhan, admissible fare charges by private vehicles, enhancing the capacity of BSNL tower besides effective implementation of all Government schemes.
Meanwhile, the DDC in response to locals’ request for initiation of an enquiry into alleged irregularities in MGNREGA works in the area, appointed ADDC Imam Din as enquiry officer.
The DDC assured that all the genuine demands put forth by the public shall be met on priority.
Responding to the demand for the repair and renovation of Hori bridge, the DDC asked for release of Rs. 3 lakh under untied grants in favour of the Forest Department. He also directed XEN R&B Marwah Division to project the construction of Suid Bridge under NABARD scheme.
Regarding the change of jurisdiction for issuance of PRC certificate, the DDC assured that henceforth PRCs of Tehsil Dachhan shall be issued from Kishtwar instead of Tehsil Marwah.
The DDC also released Rs 20000 under Red Cross in favour of one Priya Devi widow of Moti Lal R/o Dachhan whose husband was killed few months back by some unknown persons.
The DDC directed CMO Kishtwar to immediately detach the doctor of PHC Warwan presently attached elsewhere.
He directed the CHO to provide green house kit to deserving farmers and also directed the Agriculture Department for providing of seeds to the genuine beneficiaries.
