JAMMU, June 22: Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) in University of Jammu, organized an awareness cum interaction session, here today to sensitize the employees about codal financial norms and the desired practices for necessary compliance in this regard.
The awareness session was chaired by Professor Neelu Rohmetra, Director, DDE and attended by the Course Coordinators, Officers and staff of the Directorate of Distance Education.
The discussions were held through Power Point Presentation delivered by Dr Saran Preet Kour Broca, Deputy Registrar in DDE. The discussions revolved around topics like procurement procedures under GFR-2017 and Government e-Market portal (GeM). The salient features of GeM/ GFR-2017 and its application were deliberated.
Professor Neelu Rohmetra, in her address, emphasized that compliance with financial norms, speedy disposal of files and timely disbursement of dues need to be enforced strictly. She urged the staff to provide best services to the students who are enrolled in various academic programmes offered by the Directorate of Distance Education. “All efforts should be made to promote the brand image of the University of Jammu in offering education through distance and Online mode”, she said.
This was the first of its kind initiative in DDE.
