Dead bodies of youth, aunt recovered from fields

RAJOURI, Feb 24: Mystery shrouds the death of  a 23-year old youth and his young aunt whose dead bodies were  recovered from the fields about 100 meter away from their home at village Dalori  near Rajouri last night.
The deceased  have been identified as  Shashi Balla ( 33), wife of Chain Singh and Parveen Singh (23), son of Jia Lal. The police said both went missing in the evening and the family members started searching for them.  They are said to be aunt ( Chachi) and nephew in relation. The family members  could trace their bodies at around 9.30 pm.
They informed police and a police party from Rajouri reached the village and shifted the bodies to hospital at around 11 pm after examining spot. The police said that two small bottles of poisonous insecticides were also lying nearby. Both the bodies were at some distance from each other.
A senior police officer said that possibility of murder cannot be ruled out  and things will be clear after postmortem   report is received. The police is investigating on the angles. He said a Medical Board conducted the postmortem of the bodies at District Hospital Rajouri today and the bodies were handed over to their families.
The dead body of the woman Shashi Balla was taken to their village at Khandli by the parents and brothers. They alleged that Shashi was murdered.  They said some violence marks were there on the body. The girl’s relatives  demanded  investigation by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of police.
