JAMMU, Dec 25: The dead body of a girl who committed suicide by jumping into Chenab river from new bridge at Akhnoor on December 9, was found today from the bank of river near village Dalpat.
According to a police spokesman, the dead body of a girl was found today from the bank of Chenab river at village Dalpat, which was later identified as Neha Sharma daughter of Charanjit, resident of Akhnoor, who committed suicide on December 9 by jumping from new bridge at Thathi into Chenab river.
The spokesman said that the body was shifted to mortuary of SDH Akhnoor and after conducting post mortem tomorrow, it will be handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
