POONCH, Apr 27: A dead body of 28-years-old missing youth was recovered from Dunugam area of Tehsil Mandi in Poonch district today.
Sources said that Imtiaz Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed, resident of village Dunugam in Tehsil Mandi was missing since April 23. His mobile phone was also switched off from that day due to which parents and other family members were worried and searching him everywhere while a missing report was also registered in Police Station, Mandi in this connection.
A police official said that an information was received on Thursday evening that a dead body has been seen in Dunugam area on a mountain and after which locals, family members of missing youth and Police reached on the spot and recovered the dead body. After examining spot, the body was shifted to DH Poonch, where after performing all legal formalities, body was handed over to family for last rites.
The police authorities confirmed about the incident and said that an inquest proceedings have been initiated in this case under 174 CrPC.
