POONCH, July 26: Dead body of a 10 -years-old disabled boy has been recovered from Sathra area, hours after he drowned in river in Mandi tehsil of Poonch disrtrict last evening.
Officials said that, soon after getting information on Monday evening, a hunt was started to recover body jointly by Police, Army, SDRF and locals but body was not recovered despite search till late night.
Locals saw dead body in river at Sathra area in the morning of Tuesday after which Police was intimated and dead body was recovered from there, and taken to SDH Mandi.
Deceased minor was identified as Mohd Arif, son of Mohd Azam, resident of Arai Peeran in Block Mandi.
Station House Officer Mandi, Mukhtar Ali said that dead body was handed over to family after performing all the legal formalities.
