SRINAGAR, Apr 3: A dead dog was found by locals in the filtration plant, Dawaran in Uri area of Baramulla district today.
Locals alleged that they drink contaminated water from the filtration plant. It is without safety cover also it is full of garbage as the department has never cleaned it.
Executive Engineer PHE Sub Division Uri Irfan Ahmed said that water supplies to the area has been cut-off from the filtration plant. “Necessary directions have been passed to clean the plant”.
“The water will be supplied through tankers in the area. For any water related issues, people should contact Control Room number 8825054833,” he said.
XEn further said that the incident occurred during morning hours today and the water supply was immediately snapped to the area.
