Dealing with Dengue

Sir,
This has reference to 30-40 Dengue cases that have surfaced in Jammu Division. Even one patient has died of this disease. There are apprehensions that more cases may be reported in the Division in case corrective and preventive measures are not taken on priority basis. The cause is attributed  to a number of factors which include  unhygienic conditions prevailing in our surroundings.
Government seems sluggish and inactive in educating the masses, as there is no massive campaign in electronic and print media for prevention and arresting the spread of the disease.
The superspeciality hospital is already in place, having been constructed after spending huge amounts of money from the public money, inaugurated by the Govt with much fanfare quality healthcare is yet to be available to patients. The Govt. needs to wake up to the situation and prove its credentials of according priority to healthcare of masses.
