No dearth of Crorepatis!

JAMMU, Nov 6: There appeared to be no dearth of Crorepati candidates in Jammu and Kashmir. As nominations yesterday closed for Phase I, the affidavits showed that several  contestants were quite richer.
Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Zanskar Constituency Stanzin Lakpa has movable assets of Rs 70 lakh including Hyundai Santro car while as similar assets on the name of his wife were valued Rs 5.46 lakh including 25 grams gold worth Rs 1, 50,000. Lakpa has immovable assets of Rs 2.13 crores including residential house and 5 shops with 10 rooms at Skara Yokma.
Tsering Gyaltsan, BJP candidate from Zanskar Constituency has movable assets of Rs 2.10 lakh including Rs 1.5 lakh in hand and immovable assets of Rs 2.10 lakh.
Congress candidate from Ganderbal Constituency Mohammad Yousuf Bhat has movable assets of Rs 6.43 lakh with Rs 15000 in hand while as similar assets on the name of his wife were valued Rs 1.26 lakh including 50 grams bullion in the form of one gold ring and necklace worth Rs 1.25 lakh. Bhat has immovable assets of Rs 1.1 crore including 12 kanals and 18 marlas land, three shops at Repora and one single storied residential house at Repora, Tehsil Lar.
BJP candidate for Kargil constituency Mohammad Ali has movable assets of Rs 1.08 lakh and immovable assets of Rs 1.02 lakh.
Congress candidate from Kargil Constituency Nasir Hussain Munshi has movable assets of Rs 6.20 lakh including Mahindra Scorpio and Rs 1 lakh in hand, while as similar assets on the name of his wife were valued Rs 4.81 lakh including Hyundai Santro car and gold jewellery worth Rs 1, 56 lakh. Munshi has immovable assets of Rs 2 crores including under construction hotel building and 4 kanals and 11 marlas non-agriculture land.
Ghulam Raza, Congress candidate from Zanskar Constituency has movable assets of Rs 2.27 lakh while similar assets on the name of his wife were valued Rs 70,000 including jewellery worth Rs 50,000. Raza has no immovable assets.
Independent candidate from Kangan constituency Ghulam Hassan Rather has movable assets of Rs 18.20 lakh including Wagon-R car and Tata Bus, while as similar assets on the name of his wife were valued Rs 82,000 including jewellery worth Rs 70,000. He has immovable assets of Rs 1.2 crores including 1 kanal non-agricultural land and constructed three storied school building.
National Conference candidate from Bandipora Constituency Ahamadullah Malik has assets of Rs 60,000 including Rs 10,000 in hand and has immovable assets of Rs 90 lakh including one house.
National Conference candidate from Bandipora Constituency Abdullah Wani has movable assets of Rs 2.10 lakh, while as similar assets on the name of his wife were valued Rs 3.25 lakh including gold jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh. He has immovable assets of Rs 2.23 lakh including single storied house.

Congress candidate from Bandipora constituency Usman Abdul Majid has movable assets of Rs 34 lakh including M-Pajaro, while as similar assets of his wife were valued Rs 58 lakh including Toyota Fortuner. Majid has immovable assets of Rs 2.6 crores, while as similar assets of his wife were valued Rs 85 lakh including flat at Trikuta Nagar.
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate from Bandipora Constituency Nizam-ud-Din Bhat has movable assets of Rs 5.6 lakh, while as similar assets of his wife were valued Rs 39,500 including gold jewellery worth Rs 37,500. He has immovable assets of Rs 2.20 crores including 0.85 acres of agriculture land and house at Budgam.

Syed Mohammad Baqir Razvi, Independent Candidate from Zanskar Constituency has movable assets of Rs 3.7 lakh and has no immovable assets.
