Death anniversary of BMS J&K founder observed as Sewa Divas

JAMMU, Sept 13: BMS J&K here today observed 3rd death anniversary of its founder, S. Ravinder Singh as Sewa Divas and organized various programmes on this occasion.
Trade union leader, S. Ravinder Singh was inclined towards education of children of the working class, so in his memory, BMS distributed school uniform sweaters to the students of Government Middle School (GMS), Satwari, where mostly children of working class study.
A simple function was organized in this regard at GMS Narwal Pain and all the 175 students studying in the school were provided uniform sweaters so that harsh winters may become tolerable to these children of marginalized classes.
Speaking on the occasion speakers from BMS highlighted the pro-poor approach of Ravinder Singh.
The School In-Charge Head Mistress, Rachna Gupta along with all staff members of the School and Cantonment Board member, S. Hardev Singh cooperated in sweater distribution.
Later in the day, a Samriti Sabha was organized at Trikuta Yatri Niwas, Ambphalla where Rupesh Kumar, Prant Pracharak RSS and Parshotam Dadichi were main speakers.
The Sabha started with welcome address by BMS general secretary, Neelam Sharma and was followed by various addresses by contemporaries of S. Ravinder Singh who threw light on various aspects of life of the great personality.
President BMS J&K, Ashfaq Ahmad presented vote of thanks.
The stage was managed by Roshu, general secretary of Aanganwadi Union.
Prominent personalities present in Samriti Sabha were Mukesh, Seh Prant Prachark; N.K Gupta; S. Chanan Singh Toor, Harbans Choudhary and others.
