*Such malicious acts bring disrepute to brand: CEO VKC Nuts

NEW DELHI, June 21: The deceptive packing material worth lakhs of rupees which was similar to that of India’s largest Nuts & Dried Fruits Brand ‘Nutraj’ was destroyed in Kurukshetra on the directions of High Court (HC) of Delhi.
This deceptive packing material along with packed Nuts & Dried Fruits in such packing was seized by the local commissioner appointed by the Court. The final disposal came about as per Court mandated mediation process wherein Sonu Thakural, the owner of ‘The Dry fruit House Natraj & ‘Galaxy Bakery and Kiryana’ paid monetary damages/cost to VKC Nuts for causing damage to their brand goodwill, reputation and business along with an explicit undertaking, that he has stopped selling, promoting and advertising through any forum or media Nuts & Dried Fruits in the impugned deceptively similar packaging and Brand ‘NATRAJ’.
According to Gunjan V Jain, CEO & MD of the company VKC Nuts Private Limited which owns ‘Nutraj’, this has brought a big relief as the VKC family-owned company’s brand ‘Nutraj’ has been built painstakingly over the years to emerge as the largest selling Nuts & Dried Fruit Brand in India.
He opined that company’s appropriate initiation of seeking legal remedial action to such nuisance has borne fruits. He said, in future also such malicious acts which are detrimental to legitimate reputation of its brand ‘Nutraj’ will be pursued rigorously and appropriately as per law.
