JAMMU, Oct 30: Jammu should be immediately declared as the permanent capital of J&K to end the era of discrimination and injustice the region has suffered so far.
This was stated by Manish Sahni, Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K president while addressing a press conference here today.
He said that J&K CM, Omar Abdullah should declare Jammu as the permanent capital in the upcoming Assembly session.
“Jammu is far better than Srinagar from the security point of view and by declaring Jammu as permanent capital of J&K, the functioning of the administration and secretariat here will not be affected by any kind of inclement weather while this will give impetus to business along with the development of Jammu and tourist places here,” the Shiv Sena leader maintained.
He said that Jammu was always ignored to such an extent that till date none from Jammu division has ever become J&K’s Chief Minister while the focus of the former and the current Central Governments also remained Kashmir centric.
Shiv Sena working president, Jai Bharat; senior vice president, Balwant Singh; vice president, Rajesh Jandial; Bharat Mahajan, Raj Singh, Geeta Lakhotra, Dimple and others were also present on the occasion.
