JAMMU, May 14: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has demanded that JWA Constituency should be declared as COVID-19 ‘hotspot’ and free ration along with other essential commodities should be supplied in the sealed red zone areas of New Plot and Gurah Bakshi Nagar.
Addressing a press conference here today JWAM leader, Sunil Dimple has demanded that J&K’s share in PM’s 20 lakh crore package should be immediately given to the Union Territory.
He also demanded extension of ongoing lockdown in J&K beyond May 18.
Dimple claimed that a large part of population including the poor families at New Plot sealed area are suffering the lack of food, milk, medicines, vegetables etc.
The JWAM leader urged upon the LG administration to immediately provide food, milk and other essential commodities in the sealed areas.
He demanded the best medical treatment and all facilities to the COVID patient of Jammu and quarantine for their family members besides their tests.
Dimple also demanded free distribution of masks to all the residents of the JWA Constituency and waiving off of six months power bills and bank interests.
