Declare Pakistan a terrorist state, demands AIATF president

AURANGABAD, Maharashtra, Sept 7:  All India Anti-Terrorist Forum (AIATF) President Maniderjeet Singh Bitta today demanded that  the countries facing terrorist activities on their soil come together and declare Pakistan a terrorist state in view of its alleged involvement in terror activities.
Addressing mediapersons here, he said ” time has come for the Indian government to submit evidence against the Pakistan government for their alleged involvement in terrorism across the border in United Nations so as to declare Pakistan a terrorist country.”
Talking about the recent life threat to the Supreme Court Justices, who upheld the capital punishment awarded to the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts accused Yakub Memon, Mr Bitta stressed on the need for establishment of an Anti-Terrorist Military Court (ATMC) to punish the terrorists within six months and observed that there should be any political interference in it.          He also demanded to provide adequate security to such judges after their retirement from the service.
Replying to a question about the reported violation of cease-fire by the Pakistan troops on the border in which several civilians and military personnel were killed, Mr Bitta said  the Indian Army and the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were giving a befitting reply to such firing.
He alleged that the BJP has made the ”biggest mistake” by joining hands with Mufti Mohammad Sayed’s party and having formed the alliance government in Jammu and Kashmir. The BJP should dissolve the state government and impose  President’s rule in the state, he demanded.
Mr Bitta also suggested that leaders of all the political parties including Prime Minister Narendra  Modi, Sonia Gandhi, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Nitesh Kumar and others should come together on the issue of terrorism under a one-point programme and create awareness among the people about fighting against it.
Mr Bitta had met the family members of Martyred Jawans — Ganesh Hanumant Ahir of Indo-Tibetan Border Police  (ITBP) Force and Sopan Kautik Aamle of Central Reserve Police Force (both hailing from Vadala-Vadali villages in Chalisgaon tehsil of Jalgaon district). (UNI)_
