JAMMU, Aug 13: A decomposed body was found in an abandoned house at Basant Nagar area here.
The deceased, a male, was wearing a blue jacket, grey pant, and a monkey cap when his body was spotted in the house which has been closed for several years, said a police official.
“Since the circumstances surrounding the death are suspicious, an inquest proceeding under Section 194 BNSS has been initiated, as recorded in DDR number 22 on August 10, 2024,” he said.
The police official said that further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the death of the individual.
