UDHAMPUR, Oct 27: Under mysterious circumstances, a highly decomposed dead body of a middle aged man was found in the forest area of Chanas in Tikri.
The deceased was identified as Dalip Kumar (45), son of Govind Ram of Dhirti Kakryal, Katra in district Reasi.
According to police, the decomposed body was found in the forest area of Chanas near Tikri last evening. After being informed by some locals, a Police party led by Incharge Police Post Tikri, Manveer Singh, under the supervision of SHO Rehambal, Inspector Nishat Ahmad Sumbria, rushed to the spot.
After the scene of occurrence was analysed through the FSL team for collection of evidence and all the proceedings were duly video graphed, the dead body was shifted to the mortuary of District Hospital Udhampur for identification.
Later, the deceased was identified as Dalip Kumar (45), son of Govind Ram of Dhirti Kakryal, Katra in Reasi district, who was missing for the last several days.
According to Police, the dead body was decomposed around 70 percent. Quoting family members of the deceased, Police said that Dalip Kumar was mentally disturbed and had been taking intoxicants even as exact cause of death was yet to be ascertained. Rehambal Police have registered the case under section 194/BNSS and started investigation in this regard.
