UDHAMPUR, Aug 21: The dead body of a villager was recovered from a Nallah at Kotli Bala in Udhampur district today.
A police spokesman said that the decomposed body of Karim (37), son of Sain, resident of Kaldi, Rakh Thanua, Udhampur, was spotted this morning in a Nallah at Kotli Bala, by some locals, who informed the Udhampur Police Station.
SHO Udhampur, Insp Raghuvir Singh reached the spot with police team and shifted the body to mortuary room of Udhampur District Hospital. The family members said that Karim was missing from the last four days. He was working as labourer.
Udhampur police have initiated inquest proceedings and the dead body has been handed over to the family members for last rites.
