JAMMU, June 10: The decomposed dead body of an unknown man of age about 65 years was recovered from River Tawi, here today.
According to a police official, some locals this evening spotted a dead body floating in River Tawi near fourth bridge and informed the police. He said a team from Nowabad police station immediately reached the spot and fished out the body which was partially decomposed.
“The body has been shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification/postmortem while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC has been initiated in this connection at police station Nowabad,” the official added.
