Jammu, Mar 27: Congress – National Conference coalition candidate while addressing a series of meetings at Residency Road, Shaheedi Chowk, Gujjar Nagar, Prem Nagar, Gumat, Janipur, Amphalla and Paloura called upon the Jammuites to defeat divisive forces for the development of Jammu.
He said that these forces have their own nefarious designs which can mar the development process which has been initiated by the consecutive UPA Governments. Mr. Sharma said that it is the first time in the history of Jammu & Kashmir that Coalition Government in the State headed by Omar Abdullah has given its due share to Jammu region and the area has seen the light of many new projects related to tourism, education, heath, sanitation, road Connectivity etc.
Mr. Sharma said that Congress and NC will win all the seats and there will be huge margin in Jammu-Poonch, Kathua-Udhampur-Doda constituencies, as the people are now realizing that the development of the children and youth possible only under in the regime of Congress. He said that UPA Government has passed many people friendly Bills & lauded Rahul Gandhi’s vision while releasing Congress manifesto said that if UPA is voted back to power they will bring Right to Health bill on the pattern of Right to Food, Right to education and for Urban vendors Right to earn a dignified livelihood.
He also explained that MG-NREGA, SSA, NRHM, NRDWP, Agriculture etc programmes have brought considerable improvement in Rural self employment Health, Education, water sanitation and Agriculture. He added that many self employment schemes in the shape of Udaan, Himmayat, Adhaar whereunder a large number of youth from Jammu & Kashmir have given skilled development course .
Mr. Sharma appealed the people particularly youth and women to caste vote in his favour and press hand button on EVMs on April 10.
