JAMMU, Jan 15: Terming the decision with regard to deferring of interviews of teachers and lab assistants of district Kupwara and Baramulla as a setback to the Prime Minister’s (PM’s) employment package, All J&K Displaced Youth Forum (AJKDYF) has said that the decision is a shocking news for the youth of the Kashmiri Pandit community, who have been fighting for the package for last six years.
In an emergent meeting of the Forum held under the chairmanship of Sanjay Koul and attended by S A Talashi, Deepak Kumar and Vinod Koul, the Forum has appealed the Governor and the concerned authorities for early conduct of the interviews to help migrant youth not to be left in the lurch.
Sanjay Koul said that if the candidates of Kupwara and Baramulla are not in a position to go to the Valley, their interviews should be conducted after the interviews of the rest of the districts.
The Forum said that the package has been delayed many a time by self-styled leaders, who has nothing at stake, adding that the majority of the candidates who have passed the written exams have already crossed the age limits.
The Forum has requested the Governor to intervene in the matter and stop further delay in the interviews by asking SSRB to go for the same.
Prominent among members who attended the meeting were Deepak Jad, Amit Raina, Amit Koul, Deepak Koul, Rakesh Koul and Anil Koul.
