Delegation calls on RRC, highlights demands

JAMMU, Dec 30: A delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kashmir Displaced District today called on the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, (Migrants) Jammu and apprised him of various problems being faced by the displaced people from Valley.
The delegation was led by Chand Jee Bhat district president and comprised of Vimal Ji Raina vice president Moti Lal Bhat, general secretary, P. K Bhat and Chaman Lal Pandita office (secretaries).
The delegation submitted a memorandum and enjoined upon the Commissioner to take immediate steps for the renewal of the ration supply order to migrants, as the previous ration supply order is going to expire on 31.12.2022, to preempt any disruption/ delay of ration supply to migrants and also ensure supply of Atta to migrants as per their entitlement.
It was also demanded that a proper policy be notified for the allotment of available /Vacant quarters to the deserving migrant families and the construction work of boundary wall in Purkhoo camp be taken up at the earliest and non functional street lights in Jagti and other camps.
