LEH, Jan 6: A joint delegation from BDC and Sarpanch Coordination Committee, Zanskar Sub Division today met Lt Governor’s, Advisor, Umang Narula; Rigzin Samphel, Commissioner Secretary and Divisional Commissioner of Ladakh UT.
The delegation demanded basic amenities to the people of Zanskar and district status for Zanskar Sub Division.
The Advisor was also apprised about the shortage of doctors at the Community Health Center, Padum and restoration of VSAT internet for the Gram Panchayats of Zanskar was demanded.
Issue of non-existence of digital connectivity in the region was also discussed along with the poor condition of roads in the area and augmentation of the pace of road repairs was demanded.
Narula promised to tackle all the issues raised by the delegation at the earliest.
The delegation comprised of Chairman BDC, Zanskar; Lobzang Dolma, Sarpanch and others.
