JAMMU, Mar 23: A delegation from the ‘Brahmin Organisation of India (BOI)’ comprising Pt. Sukhbir Sharma, Chief Patron, Pt. Ramesh Kitchloo, National President; Dr Kuldeep Sharma and Ravi Gaur, National General Secretaries met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The delegation submitted a memorandum of demands pertaining to the well being of Kashmiri Migrant Pandits including medical facilities and community insurance for senior citizens, old age pension, setting up of dedicated medical centers for treatment of serious ailments for senior citizens, setting up of skill training centers for migrant youth and many alike.
The delegation also put forth various issues pertaining to welfare of Brahmin community and Displaced Persons of 1947.
Pt. R C Sharma, State President BOI, Dr ML Sharma and Anita Chandpuri , State General Secretaries and Veena Bakshi, District President Women Wing were also present.
