JAMMU, June 20: A six member delegation of Contractor Association of Estates Division Jammu met Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and apprised him of their problems.
K D Singh, senior member and publicity secretary lead the delegation and said that Estates Department is not clearing their long pending dues which is causing lot of hardships to them.
He said to highlight their long pending demands Association members are also sitting on dharna for the last 40 days but not even a single functionary for the Estates Department came to resolve the issue.
He said that they are facing financial crunch and their families are on the verge of starvation. They appealed to the DyCM to help them to come out of the present crisis.
Nirmal Singh listened to the grievances of the association and assured them that their problems will be resolved very soon. He also spoke to Principal Secretary of CM B B Vyas and directed him to take necessary steps to solve the problems of Contractors.
