JAMMU, Oct 23: A delegation of displaced Kashmiri Hindus here today met National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chairperson, Vijaya Bharti Siyani in the presence of Commission’s DG Investigation, Ajay Bhatnagar.
The delegation was led by Dr. M.K Bharat, Chairman Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra and it submitted a memorandum containing 13 demands.
These demands included justice for the Kashmiri Hindus killed by terrorists, recognition of genocide and massacre of Kashmiri Hindus, their return to their native land with honour and security, rehabilitation, rebuilding of temples and pilgrimage sites, political representation, employment package, security of employees posted in Kashmir, suitable accommodation for employees posted in Kashmir, skill development schemes for KP youth, distress sale of property should be stopped and opening of Sharda Mata temple corridor.
The NHRC Chairperson assured that the demands of the community shall be positively recommended to the concerned quarters.
The delegation included Shiban Khaibari, Vikas Raina, Pyare Lal Bhat, Sandeep Pandita and Maharaj Krishan Bhat.
