JAMMU, June 15: A delegation of All Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association here today led by Pawan Gupta, Association president met Senior Superintendent of Police (CID), Arun Gupta.
SSP Gupta explained to the delegation in detail about Foreigners Registration Act while permitting foreign guests in hotels and lodges and advised the delegation members to communicate immediately all the information pertaining to foreign guests, online as well as offline by filling the relevant form.
He said that any violation of Foreigners Registration Act shall be liable for punishment in form of imprisonment and heavy fine.
The SSP further advised all the hoteliers to get the verification of their staff done from CID office and not to fall prey to rumour mongers who are spreading rumours to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of Jammu region.
He cautioned the people to remain alert and vigilant during upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
The Association members apprised the SSP and his team about the problems being faced by them while submitting information of foreigners online.
The SSP assured all help from his end for resolving any problem and assured to even provide some training to the hotel staff through the concerned staff of the department.
Krishan Lal Gupta, Ashiq Hussain, Anil Khajuria, Baldev Raj, Sunil Suri, Swarn Singh, Varun Gupta and Varinder Gupta were also present in the delegation.
