JAMMU, June 27: A delegation of Tirath Raj Kapal Mochan Shrine and Temples Shopian led by its president, Ashok Sathoo called on Deputy Commissioner, Shopian and discussed some issues related to Ram Ji’s Mandir Thakurdwara , Bon Batpora Mandir, Batpora Mandir and Kapal Mochan Shrine with him.
The delegation discussed the encroachments made by some locals at the entrance of Ram Ji’s Mandir Thakurdwara, and at the Kapal Mochan shrine and demanded that the same be removed immediately. Concern was expressed over stocking of the garbage near Batpora and Bon Batpora temples. The DC issued on spot directives to Urban Local Body to remove the garbage dumps and also directed them to install sign boards for location of Kapal Mochan shrine and other Hindu temples in the area.
The issue of ex-gratia for Kapal Mochan shrine and Dharamshalla at Batpora also figured in the meeting and DC assured the delegation that these issues will be looked into.
