Delhi has the youngest cabinet

NEW DELHI : The average age of Arvind Kejriwal government is merely 42 years and is one of the youngest cabinets in the country.

However, the cabinet of last AAP government was a year younger when the average age was 41.

Health and Power Minister Satyendar Jain (50) is the oldest minister in AAP government while 33-year-old Sandeep Kumar, who is handling Women and Child Development and SC and ST Welfare Minister, is the youngest of the lot.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is himself 46-year-old while his deputy Manish Sisodia is 43.

Food and Civil Supplies, Environment and Forest and Election Minister is 38-year-old while Home and Law and Justice Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar is 48-year-old.

Senior AAP leader and Transport and Labour Minister Gopal Rai is 40-year-old.

In the last cabinet, Labour Minister Girish Soni was the oldest, followed by Jain, while Rakhi Birla was the youngest cabinet minister holding the charge of Women and Child Welfare department.(Agencies)
