JAMMU, Feb 25: Demanding fresh census and delimitation of Assembly constituencies in J&K after that, IkkJutt Jammu-an organization well known for vociferously highlighting regional discrimination has claimed that the 2011 census was a part of well hatched conspiracy to “enslave Jammu region.”
“Population of Kashmir has been shown to have increased from 16 per cent to 44 per cent in 2011 census report,” IkkJutt Jammu Chairman Ankur Sharma said while addressing a news conference here today.

“It should be noted with care that the report had also mentioned that from 1981 to 2011 the population of Muslims in J&K has increased by 4.12 per cent while that of Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and other religious minorities has decreased by 4.27 per cent,” Sharma said asking that where these lowered number of religious minority members have gone.
IkkJutt Jammu leader further said how population of Kashmir increased when over five lakh people including Hindus and Sikhs have migrated from Kashmir.
Sharma said that abrogation of Article 370 from J&K has only smashed the de jure Islamic State in J&K while the de facto one still exists as the bureaucrats in J&K have nefarious agenda.
“The census has shown 10 per cent less growth of Jammu population,” he said quoting the census report and claimed that he has recordings of the officials engaged in census wherein these officials have said that the report is fictitious and fudged with numerous non-existent households counted from Kashmir.
“If delimitation is done on the basis of 2011 census then the objective behind the abrogation of Article 370 will fail and J&K will remain dominated by Kashmiri Islamic Fundamentalists,” Sharma told reporters.
He also claimed that within the establishment including BJP and Sangh some elements are working 24X7 to negate all the good work done by Prime Minister, Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah in J&K.
Sharma asserted that delimitation on the basis of 2011 Census will give more seats to Kashmir, despite the fact that population of Jammu is equal to Kashmir, if not more.
He also expressed hope that PM Modi and HM Shah would see through the game plan of the forces inimical to the nation and eschew the idea of Delimiting Assembly Constituencies on the basis of the 2011 Census figures.
Anil Padha, Ashwani Sharma, Harish Kapoor, Vinod Sharma, Amit Gupta and others were also present in the press conference.
