JAMMU, Dec 25: For the promotion of arts and culture in big way, the Delphic Council of J&K appointed new advisors, Directors and Deputy Directors for six art categories here today.
In this regard a function was organised here in which appointment letters were issued to the new appointed members.
The function was held under the Presidentship of Er. Ashok Singh, who is Secretary General of Delphic Council (India) during which the new Advisors Ankush Sharma, Shabir Mujahid, Vijay Puri and Prof. Manzoor Ahmed Bhat, the Directors Dr. Sushma Rajput, Dr. Anila Singh Charak, Vinod K Verma, Prof. (Dr.) Shabeena Kuttay, Shaikh Tahir, Er. Nirmal S Chauhan and Dr. Gharo Choudhary, while Deputy Directors Er. Yash Pal Singh Choudhary, Surinder Singh Jamwal, Naseer Ahmed Mir Santoor Player and Sheetal Verma for Social media & Communication were provided appointment letters.
The Delphic Council is an International Organization having the headquarters at Greece, from where even the Olympic Games had started. The Delphic Games were re-started worldwide in 1994 and is spread in 72 Countries across the Globe with a history of 2600 years at its back. The Delphic Movement stands for uniting people of various religions and for establishing peace and prosperity worldwide by “Linking Art & Culture”.
Speaking on the occasion Er. Ashok Singh informed that “The Delphic Council of Jammu and Kashmir” is working for the unsung heroes from the remotest parts of Villages of all Districts of J&K and will provide them with the National and the International platform to show case their talent which will in turn become the source of lively hood for the Artisans as well.
The Members pledged to move to the Villages for organizing State Games in the States soon for the betterment of the artists of J&K.
Dr. Ayash Arif Vice President, Er. Narrinder Nath Thussu Treasurer and Bishan Dass were also present during the meeting.
