JAMMU, May 5: The Delphic Council of J&K, which works for promoting arts & culture in J&K, today inaugurated its new zoom series of episodes of `Kalaanjali’ (Art & offerings).
Sham Lal Sharma, former Minister, J&K and Vice president of BJP, was the chief guest on the occasion and he released the poster of the `Kalaanjali’. He appreciated the Delphic Council of J&K for the steps being taken for promoting Art & Culture in the UT.
Er Ashok Singh, President of the Delphic Council of J&K and Secretary General of Indian Delphic Council apprised that 26 episodes of the Virasat-e-Jammu & Kashmir were completed successfully wherein Padmashree awardees, Artists, Academicians and Art lovers participated.
Sham Lal Sharma, Er Ashok Singh along with Vijay Puri and Shabir Mujahid, Advisors of the Council, Directors, Deputy Directors and other office bearers of the Council also paid floral tribute to Late Bishan Dass, Joint Secretary Delphic Council JK, who left for the heavenly abode on 7th April.
A cultural programme was also presented by three sons of Late Bishan Dass while Asha Kesar, renowned Dogri folk Singer performed the songs sung earlier with Bishan Dass.
N N Pandey, President of Indian Delphic Council, Ramesh Prasana, Secretary General, International Delphic Council; Ajay Mishra and Sreya Guha (IAS), President of the Delphic Council of Rajasthan also paid tribute, through online, to Late Bishan Dass and highlighted his achievements for the Delphic Council of J&K.
Ayash Arif, Vice president; N N Thussu Treasurer; Dr Gharo Choudhary, Vinod Verma, Dr Anila Singh, Sheetal Verma (AD Media), Ajeet Singh, Managing Director of DRS Kids and more than hundred artists of J&K also paid tribute and highlighted the achievements of Late Bishan Dass. Dr Amrish Sarup Kohli, Assistant Professor, GMC Kathua, moderated the event.
