Delphic Council of J&K discusses projects, future plans

JAMMU, Jan 5: The Delphic Council of Jammu & Kashmir today held a meeting in Jammu.
During the meeting, Ashok Singh, President of the JK Chapter, in Jammu, welcomed all the members, with Naseem Akhter, Director of Language Arts & Rhetoric, introducing the new members.
The President provided an update on the actions taken since the previous meeting, including the ongoing tree plantation project in schools and colleges across District Jammu. Future steps for the project were also discussed.
Dr KCS Mehta, Director, Performing Arts, suggested that the Council organize career counselling sessions for students in Jammu & Kashmir.
On the cultural front, Asha Kesar, Naseem Akhter, and Bal Bhushan Sharma presented Dogri, Urdu, and Punjabi poetry.
The meeting was attended by Ashok Singh, NN Thussu, Dr KCS Mehta, Ajit Singh, Asha Kesar, Nirmal S Chouhan, Vinod K Verma, Dr Amrish S Kohli, Bhavneet Kour, Renu Saini, Naseem Akhter, Pankaj Sharma, Jagdev Singh, Kulbushan Bhau, and Balbhushan Sharma.
Ashok Singh emphasized the importance of memberships and the creation of an event calendar to ensure smooth functioning of the Council.
Directors will also prepare for upcoming events in advance. Bhavneet Kour was appointed as DD-2 in the Media stream.
Dr Amrish S Kohli presented the vote of thanks, and Dr KCS Mehta concluded the meeting, focusing on promoting Delphic Clubs in schools and educational institutions across the region.
