JAMMU, June 16: The Delphic Council of J&K here today organised Multilingual Kavi Sammelan.
Suresh Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary, Department of Culture was the chief guest and Deepak Dubey, Deputy Secretary was guest of honour.
Ashok Singh, president Delphic Council of J&K and Secretary General of Indian Delphic Council apprised that 26 episodes of Virasat-e-Jammu and Kashmir were completed successfully in which Padma awardee artists, academicians and art lovers participated.
Suresh Gupta appreciated the role of Delphic Council of J&K and assured full cooperation from the Department of Culture to rope in more artists to show case the talent of J&K to the rest of the world.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Anil and Seema Sehgal, Arshad Choudhary, chairman Gurjar Charitable Trust, Javid Rahi, Secretary Kala Kendra, Prof Liaqat Jafti, Vijay Puri, Dr Anita Sharma, Ajeet Singh, MD DRS Kids, Vinod Verma, Asha Kesar and others.
Dr Sarla Sharma, Dr Shobha Sharma and Vipin Sharma from UP recited their poetry. Prof Liaqat Jafti, Bishan Singh Dardi, Surinder Neer, Naseem Akhtar, Kuldeep Kipi, Meenakshi Kesar recited their poems.
Ramesh Prasana, Secretary General, International Delphic Council, Sreya Guha, president of Delphic Council of Rajasthan and Dr R.K Swarankar were connected via hybrid mode.
Ritu Sharma, Naseem Akhtar and Dr Amrish Sarup Kohli moderated the event.
